so it was my bestie's birthday the other day and so we went to celebrate in the din tai fung at santa monica. the food was BUSSIN and the drinks as well, but i unfurtunately only took pics of the after and not of the before oops... ╮(˘、˘ )╭
the massacre that occured....after dinner we had planned to go out for drinks and dance at a club that we really like in santa monica called the victorian. its kinda like a mansion that wants to pretend to be a frat house, but like its not disgusting like the frats. its always 50/50 with the vibes of the place, like you can get a really bad vibe some nights and an amazing one in others. but we were not expecting it to be soooooooo soooo incredibly fun this time, we had no idea that every thursday they do a collab with a dance university and do salsa nights. the music was sooo good and everyone danced insanely good. i love dancing cumbia with my family whenever we have parties, so i know a few things, but these people were literally professionals and it was such an insane thing to witness inside a place that looks like a frat house.
me and my friends started dancing for a bit when all of a sudden a very much older man asks my friend to dance, and ofcs she agreed. we always alert ourselves just incase anything weird happens, even more when its an evidently much older guy, but as me and my other friend watched them dance we were so shocked by how quick he was able to teach my friend some insane ass moves, i literally just kept seeing her hair flying and turning and spinning just doing the craziest things, mind it that it was her first time dancing something like that.
(this is exactly how it played before my eyes)
anyways the whole interaction with the man was great and so wholesome cause he literally was just looking to teach my friend how to do some moves and after two songs he just said thank you and left to find another partner, no awkwardness, no harassment, just good moves and good vibes. i then later got to dance with a guy called eddie and it was so much fun he taught me how to do some really cool turns and how to actually move my feet, and again no weird behaviour just great dancing!!!٩(。•́‿•̀。)۶
but as it turns out, eating a shitton of chinese food and then doing a lot of physical activity is actually not very fun and really fucking sucks, so we all kinda started feeling sick and had to go home and end the night at my apartment. we watched some tiny desks and kept listening to salsa, cause god bless that heavenly music genre!!!!
to end it all in a really nice note, the next day i had a cute date and had lots of fun, i really hope i get to hang out with him again cause he was pretty nice;)
this is how i looked for the date, if i had my instagram i would have probably uploaded this pic to my stories so here it is instead lol u.u
so the pope died this morning and everything feels kinda ominous for some reason. but whatever i had an interview today for a really cool internship at a really cool place that really surprised me with how freaking cool it was. it took me so long to get there cause i ain't got no car, so i had to use the LA metro, which i love but everybody hates it for some reason.
here's a pics i took in the metro:
after like 2 hours and a half in a bus, two different trains, and an uber, i finally got there and suprisingly i was early! i met with the people who interviewed me and obviously had my interview, and tbh i fuckin ate that shit up. i felt so confident and truly answered to all the questions so easily, i am actually that bitch and i know im gonna get that damn intership and succeed because im crazy!
after the interview i got to explore the place around and DAMN was it nice and fancyyy, i absolutely loved it and had so much fun walking around the galleries and the gardens.
i got to see some really good artworks too:
well i think that's pretty much it i feel like this is already too long so, i might update this when i hear back from the museum and i'll update if i do get the silly awesome internship („• ֊ •„)
i went on a silly one day trip to san diego to see my family and celebrate my aunt's bday. it actually was really fun, i got to eat my mom's food which i kind of missed as well as some borrego tacos, but the cold was HORRIBLE. i was totally underdressed, cause like i thought 'oh it's all sunny and we are gonna be at the park i should use a long flowy skirt and and a cute summery top' but NO I WAS WRONG it was sooo windy and cold and like next to the bay it gets even colder T^T. i was recovering from a cold before going and now im feeling like im getting even more sick than before. but whatevs i did have fun and eat lots of good food so im not too sad about it.
anyways here's a cute video i took of my train ride from lax to sd:
